All Nepalese airlines operate the famous mountain
flight along the Central Nepal Himalaya to Everest. The one-hour
flight is best early in the morning, and flights aren't operated
when the visibility is poor. Short Take Off & Landing (STOL)
aircraft (which have only window seats) area mostly used, aisle
seats usually aren't sold on bigger aircraft. Seats area allocated
on a first-come first serve basis at check in. Fortunately, all
airlines allow ordinary people who can't fly a plane to take turns
to visit the cockpit, which is the best place.
The flight offers dramatic bird's eye views of the Central
Nepal Himalayan, including the ranges of Ganesh Himal, Langtang
Himal, Rolwaling Himal and Khumbu Himal crowned by Mt. Everest.
The 60 minutes in the air seem to fly by. This is an unbeatable
visual experience that is quite simply a must for anyone with
a love for mountains, leaving one in awe of the highest summits
on the planet.
